HOW TO SELECT A HOSE

 

Several things must be known before the proper hose can be selected for application.  The acronym STAMPED can be the key to having the required information in most cases.
   
Size Inside Diameter, length, (and in some cases Outside diameter)
Temperature Internal and External; normal, minimum and maximum.
Application What is the hose supposed to do on the equipment?
Material The product to be conveyed.
Pressure Normal working pressure, burst pressure.
Ends Are couplings needed, what type, size, thread?
Delivery When and where is it needed?
