Unaflex combines the advantages of a lightweight
yet durable rubber hose, with Teflons' unsurpassed resistance to
virtually all chemicals except Motlen Alkali metals such as Potassium,
Lithium and Radium as well as Fluorochemicals. Serpent Teflon
lined hose is an excellent choice for transfer service of acids, esters,
acetones, aromatic hydrocarbons, organic chemicals and alcohols.
Unaflex hose is steam cleanable for short durations and is excellent for
food handling services.
Construction Features:
Tube: Smooth, non-stick Teflon FEP or
PTFE tube.
Carcass: Rubber, reinforced with
synthetic braid or spirals of yarn and double spiral helix wire for
maximum flexibility.
Cover: Standard Neoprene or EPDM for
abrasion, weather and ozone resistance. Also pinpricked to
allow for slight permeation through the outer cover if it should
occur.
Lengths: Standard in 50 or 60 foot
lengths. Shorter lengths available with built-in integral duck and
rubber flanges with beaded ends where all wetted surfaces are
Teflon.
Temperature Resistance: Up to 350 degrees
F with EPDM, up to 400 degrees F with Viton and Kevlar
reinforcement. Pressure ratings must be reduced as
temperatures incre3ase over 212 degrees F.

Fittings: Unaflex has the capability to
build a duck and rubber flange or beaded end into the hose which
allows the Teflon lines to extend up the face of the flange or
beaded end. These are tough, durable fittings which have
unique properties. Stainless steel swaged fittings are also
available.
